The ‘Cornish Store’ grocery at Boscastle reopened today the 8th of January 148 days after the flood which destroyed the interior of the shop and left the owners with just four walls. Mr Guy Lane de Courtin owner of the shop hopes to raise money towards the Asian Tsunami relief fund by selling a Boscastle flood commemorative pen, “The transparent pen, pictured left, has a backdrop of Boscastle with a tiny replica of their Cornish Stores white van, which was swept away in the flood, floating in the clear liquid filling the barrel.” Western Morning News
